Southern Districts Working Equitation Club Inc.
Our club Founded in 2018, ‘SDWE’ as we call it, is located at The Magenup Equestrian Center 302 De Haer Road, Wandi, in the southern suburbs of Perth.
Our rallies are held once a month usually on every 3rd Sunday. Our aim is, to connect riders wanting to enjoy a horse sport that is varied and interesting for both the horse and the rider. The sport has its grass roots in classical dressage and is all about training the horse to become a harmonious working partner. Our club is very inclusive and you can ride any breed of horse or pony and use Western or Dressage tack as long as it complies with safety standards.
If you would like to have a go at classical dressage, riding obstacles, garrocha work and cattle herding skills, and more then join us!
We welcome anyone over the age of 13 who wants to learn and participate in working equitation. Horses must be 4 years of age.
2025 has arrived and Working Equitation is now a popular discipline thought Australia.
Ridden in every State. Our Western Australian National team made up of 3 West Aussies attended the National competition making their mark on the podium.

All types of riders and horses can do it!
Its a great way to train, think dressage with obstacles. Horses love a job to do and easily can be trained to accept the obstacles which are designed around dressage movements.
Bitless bridles and an assortment of tack styles are accepted please refer to the Australian National Working Equitation Rule book for all relevant information.
